good afternoon all, i'm finally home from my camping trip (little early due to irene) Home just securing everthing and awaiting the storm. Wishing all to the south that are dealing with the storm good luck and hope you get through ok.

just got insurance,registration and a plate for the Z, took it for a quick run.... I have some funky noise coming out from under the front end/engine bay area? Not sure what it is?

got the shift kit in I dont have enuff dexron VI to fill it tho the guy at the dealership told me there was no way i would use more than 7....well he was wrong i need that 8th quart
on another note...the transmission is shifting great. I drove it 3 blocks home and it seems like the shifts are alot quicker. i will have to give it a true test on monday tho when i get that fluid

i bought a new pan gasket too. it was like $55 and didnt have to use it. So i gotta take that back too.
overall it was a good learning experience. i havent really ever took anything on my car like that apart on my own. the best part is it actually works and i didnt have any bolts left over
edit: i am glad i changed the fluid tho. it was pretty nasty looking and must have been the first time it was ever done

Lol i always thought left over bolts were a good thing cuz itll be lighter lol
But thats pretty good first time doin that & having it come out right on the first try i nvr have that luck it seems

I have been doing alot on this car that i have never done I was pretty nervous having to take the accumulator apart.
I didnt ever have to work on my last monte..it had a warranty from the dealership i bought it from.
