Morning BBMike thanks for starting the blog

I hope everyone has themselves a great day. Probably going to go to a music store about an hour away and see what he has so that I can get the "I wants" lol, last time I stopped in to see what he had, it cost me $2000.00 to get out the door lol, but I got my amp so it's not all bad, but I swear he had a light shining over it, and had a tape of angels and harps on cue for when I walked in the shop lol. On the positive he is a great guy and doesn't mind dealing on his prices, so we shall see

 

Mornin guys. I got home a little over an hour and a half ago. Targeted Central Kansas to the NW of Wichita. I was headed in the right direction, but wasn't far enough north or west. I was also later getting up there than I wanted to be. By the time I picked up my chase partner (who didn't beat me to Wichita by much herself), storms were starting to fire well off to the west. At that point we decided which cell to go after, thinking that we wouldn't be able to catch the tornado producer near Hays. We chose to continue NW, knowing that the roads would allow us to drop south for tail end charlie if we needed to. As we went, we realized that we had a shot to catch the Hays storm (which was still tornado warned) if we shot north. So that's what we did. Perfect intercept, we were just late to the party.

That was only the second time chasing with a partner, and the first time chasing with today's partner. We agreed that we need to chase together more often. With more practice, we'll be a hell of a team. Had it not been for all the convection along the Red River preventing the real moisture from returning to Oklahoma and Kansas, we likely would have had a much better day. There just wasn't enough there and the dryline stayed way too far to the west.

I am sitting here waiting to hear if we are racing today. It did not rain at all last night and the radar has the heaviest rain going north of us...So I guess I will just get ready to go so I am not rushed and hope for the best!! Got the car ready to go yesterday except the new cap and rotor but I can take that with me to the track if they decide to run today.

good morning, today I am selling mu DJ equipment, it was a good run(20 yrs) I had to give it up. its how I met most of my friends. I am just coming to grips that its over.
