When working on the planes if we are working over are heads or working on wiring we must wear safety goggles. Also when working with things that are splash hazards such as gas and oil or mineral spirits. All things I do at home on my own car without goggles lol.

My job requires us to wear safety glasses but they're not too heavily enforced, they do require us to wear them which using any machine that's fixed to the floor. Otherwise we don't wear them walking around the shop or using light duty mobile equipment. I personally don't like while wearing them but I found through the years of wearing them that it's best you find a pair that fit u best and most comfortably. also glasses that don't fog up are a major plus especially with padded frame and silicone (not nylon,rubber, plastic) nose rest little pieces give the least irritation if worn continuously for 8+ hours.
