Very sorry to hear about your dog, John. Over the years I've had to say goodbye to many animals and I learned the best way to recover is bring a new pet home to love and care for. You won't forget Lexi Mae but you will have a new furry creature to demand your attention, no matter how sad you are. And remember - they're waiting for us in Heaven, along with every other creature God made.

Wow , tough break there John. I agree with Space and Possum, a brand new puppy to dole out your attention on will go a long ways to getting you past this loss. Sorry she had to pass at such a young age. The ol saying "Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" fits here, least you had a real cool dog for awhile, sounds like you had a real good buddy for yourself... SAD!!

Well said Greg!
John its true...since we already have our Lexi.(sorry for the name)
It has eased some of my suffering which forces me not to dwell on the loss of Zeus...Because she (Lexi) needs love too.... It does help... it does me at least... (shedding a few tears) to be quite honest... I feel ya Bro!

Man's best friend: what an understatement. Sorry for your loss, bud! Im nervously awaiting my little Daisy Mae's departure, too..never an easy thing to do, they're family from Day 1. This is my little girl, aint she cute?
