Default The REAL Mario Karts

Nintendo decided they wanted some real Mario Kart cars built to promote the launch of Mario Kart 7. Can you imagine seeing one of these things cruising down the street?

These are fully functional (except for weapons) electric cars! They are on display at the LA Auto Show then they will be given away through GameStop:

They ran a story about them on the local news this morning and said they have an estimated top speed of 30mph.

Oh okay. I first heard about them on Jalopnik where they said they didn't work.

I see they edited their original story.

Hi `Mike,
It looks 2 me like they built them for Space Kids
I'd be happy to drive one 4-Sure beep -> beep move over 4 the `kid...LOL
p.s. I would want the weapons hooked `up + I think I'd need a turbo put on
it so I could atleast do 40 MPH ~ LOL...It would be a great tow ride for pulling
the bum's on their skateboards ~> LOL
Thanks 4 sharing...Looks like a fun ride : )
