It looks like one of the Monte's that were specially done by Dale Earnhardt's Chevy dealership in Newton, NC. You can try contacting the dealership with the VIN #. But whether they'll still have records of them or not, I don't know.

Yes, Dale Earnhardt did personally sign some Montes that were customized by his dealership. If that's one of them, it's a REAL collectible. Since very few of them were done. Typically around 12 of each year. And many of them were used as daily drivers. So there's not too many left in mint condition.

I believe this is the same car. It's for sale in Penn. $7,999 or so for it. If anyone knew about this it would be The Tazinator............nice to have the deep knowledge base on this site.

I think it's real. The dealer did make several diff GM special editions for Dale. I think it looks awesome!

I'm not sure about the silver side panels but a local guy owns 2 of them.

One he swears he bought new.
