Well BBMike
that’s tough each one of these are special in their own way, leaning toward the 86 Aero coupe I think it is the most beautiful car of the 80's
But I think that people that have the 06 LTZ may not know that these are rare

BTW why did they make more SS's than LTZs in 06?

Hi `Sean,
I think (Maybe) because the SS was the 1st Monte Carlo with a V8 + FWD (?) + there really wasn't that much of a price different below a fully loaded LTZ vs the SS...

My best friend Mod `Space had a 06 LT'3, and it was the only year that they put the 3.9L 242 HP in the Monte Carlo

It was only about a half of a second slower then a 06 S.S. in the quarter mile & 0-60... `Space liked it better then his 05 3.8L...

Lots of things missing from this list, all of the pace car editions had less than 2500 made, the 04 intimidator only had 4000 made, i believe the same goes for the Dale Jr. and perhaps even the Tony Stewart edition.

This thread has a good breakdown of all the special editions

Wasn’t there also a 1995 Monte Carlo Dale Earnhardt Signature Series edition that only went for 25 units?

There was and #2 of the 25 was in Lincoln, Nebraska back in 2001. I am not sure what happened to it now but I have seen some others for sale over the years. Here are a few photo's the outside one was taken right on O street west.
