Those are fairly impressive times.
I had a 1970 Monte for a brief time and sold it, I thought it would be roomier for the girls. But they preferred the muscle cars and I went back to a Z/28. Which would do a 12.3 out of the box.
the 1975 was probably a real Heavy machine. A friend of mine had one it had a real slick swivel bucket seat in it. Made it easy to turn and get out of the car. But you could land an F-14 tomcat on the hood.

The only one I am disappointed with is the 81 turbo-I know it was version 1 of the 3800 but I thought it would be better than that.

The V-6 had not been really perfected yet and it was a rear wheel drive car in 81. Probably weighed in at 3500 lbs
They should have copied the Buicks back then.


My wife had an 82/83 Mercury cougar she loved but it couldn't get out of its own way and the gas mileage was horrible.
