Buy the car, sell off the rims and maybe get your money back on the purchase. AND, make sure any distinguishing marks are removed.
I'm thinking a car used by drug dealers are gonna need a little bit of work. Don't know if I would ever really feel at ease driving a former drug car. Would you be willing to drive that car over a border? Are you 100% sure the car will make it through without setting anything off?

But his is very rare. The local police sell their old police cars directly to local cab companies to use as taxis. By the time they're done with them, the cars have darn near a million miles on them. So getting an old police car around here is rare.
No kidding! And hope the previous owners don't car-jack you to retrieve the "stuff" they hid inside the doors, the gas tank, the seats, the wheel wells...

I've seen one guy locally who took an old Crown Vic and made it look really good. He painted it black metallic. Re-built the engine. Installed a custom true dual exhaust system with chrome tips. Chrome 17" wheels. Lowered about an inch. Completely re-did the interior with two tone black and white leather seats. Installed a kickass sound system.
