I do medical billing and coding. When a doctor sees a patient they write their notes and I assign the correct code for that and bill the insurance company. Now if a claim gets denied I get to see why it was denied and either fix the error or fight the insurance company saying why they need to pay it and are wrong for not paying the claim.

04 SS im not union..i wanted to go to a union but they said it wasn't enough money compared to a free hand..Texas is paying $32-36 and hour but I heard up north is a lot more money
I got let go of my job due to blowing out my right ACL,i have two blown acl's now,so im trying to go in as a welder for less physical demand, more money, less work..i love the plant industry

Ahh. My opinion union better but to each there own. Each state has different pay scales. But the benefits(pention, insurance, annuity) are just awesome. I'm make $30 hr as carpenter but overall package is 55. 25 in benefits every hr. Out west wage is 50-65 an hr. South not so good

If I had the choice, I'd go the union route, it's more job security than without it but even though unions have a high limit on wages, that doesn't mean you can't earn more, you can always ask for a higher pay rate and if you are proven to be successful then that's not a problem.
My shop is union in all fields (steel, HVAC, sheet metal & electrical) and I can't say everyone has the same pay rate but the ones who are promising and ask for a raise do get the raise while the other who also are promising but do not ask for a raise do not get a raise.
Bottom line is union work isn't limited to the pay scale they suggest, it's up to the worker to be honest.

yea that's the reason I wanted to go with union..more jobs and benefits. my uncle is an iron superintendent and my cousins are general foremans,in texas theres not a lot of union workers,i just the crafts are awesome,i think everyone should have to opportunity to work in a plant, people treat you like family and always have your back,we pretty much follow each other to each jobs

Interesting to see so many Monte enthusiasts associated with pipe and metal trades. I guess cars are just a bunch of pipes and metal. I'm a union plumber. Much better benefit package and work conditions. Wage package here in the Seattle area is $75/hr.
