have a 9 mm glock a glock 18 wich is full auto it got band in the personal defence i was lucky though when i got it the next day i think it got band.
Definitely post up a pic- so I assume you're talking about the 1986 ban on full auto weapons? I didn't think the glock 18 came out before that (granted I was only 2 years old at the time)?

i miss going to compotitions as in who is the best dead on shooter that can hit there targets under a sertan time hens the reson why i have a full auto glock 18. get all the targets quick fast and in a hurry
Competition shooting with a full auto glock? Never heard of that before...

in my mind, everyone needs one of these, yes I am very serious about this, no bs.
AR's and such are too rich for me- I prefer the Russian variety of semi autos

You guys need to move to a better neighborhood if you need a Carbine Rifle for self defense against a large group of people!! Good gracious, lol!
You obviously don't watch enough zombie movies- go check out some Resident Evil, or 28 days later or something- then you'll understand why we have to be prepared for the zombie invasion!

I'm sounding like one of those liberal anti-gun people.... I'm all for your rights to have guns though, if you feel that you need them and want to have them, then by all means have them. This is more of just my personal philosophy, which I do not want the government to impose, but if you need something like that for anything more than just novelty item or in a gun collection, then you need to move to a better neighborhood.... or move away from the graveyard.

Not trying to start anything here- but bad stuff does happen in nice neighborhoods too. I'm the kind of person that would rather be over prepared than under prepared. I carry my Glock 20 every day concealed- I always have a gun close by in my house, and the Glock is on my hip every time I leave. I hope that I never have to use it, but if I do- I'll be glad I had it with me. That's not just talking about human targets either- my wife and I have been going on more nature walks and hikes and stuff to enjoy the scenery- and I like knowing if some kind of wild animal tries to attack us, that we're protected- you know?

As far as using a rifle for self-defense- I know a lot of people live by the thought that if you're at home and under attack, that your pistol should be used to fight your way to your main rifle since that is a more potent weapon (typically better at penetrating, especially if the attacker has a lot of heavy clothes or body armor- and more ammo capacity).

Dang, I didn't know burglars these days wore body armor when doing break ins!

I hope to never use any of my guns, for self defense. I live in a safe town, but meth makes people crazy. A good example of bad things happening in safe areas was the massacre in Amish Country. A shot gun has six rounds typically, two guys on meth busting down your door, can take a lot of lead before they stay down. 30 rounds from my AR will do some serious damage. Hopefully never have to use it, but prepared if I do.

The idea behind a rifle isn't necessarily for body armor though (really you can't even buy true armor piercing ammo as a civilian)- its overall a much more potent round. Try comparing ballistics of a common .38 special out of a snub 2" barrel (say 5 rounds of roughly 800 ft/s and 200 ft/lbf) vs that of 7.62x39 in an AK (say 30 rounds of roughly 2100 ft/s and 1500 ft/lbf). Add to that the fact that your rifle can use much nicer optics, and can be much more controllable to shoot.

Don't get me wrong, a pistol is a great defense weapon when you have no other option (ie conceal carry)- but would you really try to hunt something like a tiger or a bear with a normal household pistol (ie not a .500 s&w revolver)- obvious a person isn't that resilient to being shot, but it still can boil down to a life or death struggle, where I'd rather have more firepower than needed- rather hoping I've got enough.

That's baller, all you'd need is an acre or two of woods, and about 20 little kids.
