I was quite young when this happened, I was in 3rd grade at the time. I remember getting off the bus and my dad asking me, "Do you know what happened today?" I said no, he said, some people crashed a plane into a building. Ofcourse now I realize the full extent of everything. I watched couple documentaries about 9/11 the other day. Was interesting to learn some more about it.

Here is a shot I uploaded to facebook I/someone in my family took. Undated though.

It a strange feeling to know that everyone under the age of 12 will only ever see the world trade center in pictures. Well, the original WTC.

I was a freshman in high school and had just moved to Kentucky about 3 or 4 weeks prior. I just remember a teacher coming in freaking out and saying "Oh my God turn on the TV." I remember having to mess with the antenna to get a clear picture from the Bowling Green ABC affiliate (at the time that was the only network station out of Bowling Green). Got it halfway clear just in time for the second plane to hit.

Less than 3 years later I took the oath of enlistment for the first time (I've now done it a second time) and enlisted in the Army.

I was in 2nd or 3rd grade going to school in South Holland when the Twin Towers and World Trade Center got hit. My teacher came into the room and looked so angry. She turned on the tv and there it was, the aftermath of the attack. I remember feeling shocked, angry, confused like why did this happen. So I when I graduated high school, I enlisted into the Army to do what I can for my country.

Taz I was literally ten seconds away from posting my own memorial. Thank you so much for this. We in the armed services appreciate all your's support as I'm sure do the survivors and families of victims. If you could, thank a soldier, marine, airmen, seamen, coast guardsmen, fireman, EMT, police officer or other public servant. We may not always know how to respond, but its always appreciated.

The Star Spangled Banner and The Battle Hymn Of The Republic are posted in the first post on the first page.

If you love your freedom, remember to thank those that gave it to you.

Thank You!

Here is a photo of my Fire Departments 9/11 Memorial that was completed recently. We were able to have steel from the site and incorporated it into the memorial.
