her eya go this is not the one i drove this was another one But Im still looking for mine.
Mine was blue and white and had power steering, power brakes and a factory option of a padded dash.
of all the years i have been around them with the family this was the first time i had ever see a padded dash. the second one is the what it is the out side of the car.

But i will keep huntin for ya and see if i can find the phtos i have of it.

till then here ya go. 56 rag top. indial ivory and black (for get the exact name of it.)
restored to ALMOST org shape.
we put in a new stereo and also speackers. and it also had a diffrent steering wheel.

als had brake upgrades on it and and we added dual pipes instead of the singels that were on it org.
thsi is a interior shot of it. hopefully getting close.
this was takein in a show that was being held in KAnsas i belive this was. if not there then Nebraska.

i love the 56 chevy, that's one beautiful car, my dad has a turquoise and white one that we completely restored and redid...its amazing...
56 has always been my favorite of that gen chevy

i like the 56 front end and the 57 back end...too bad you couldn't combine them lol
but then again the hideway gas filler in the back on the 56 is pretty cool too

Nice '56 convertible. Had a chance to buy one once. $100 but it needed a little TLC.

There are a couple customs out there like this. One is the 567 Chevy. It's a '55 in the front, '56 down the sides, and '57 rear. It's actually pretty cool.

55/56/57 - Don't matter which, they are all beautiful cars. Hey Josh, that turquoise and lite blue, a real knockout. And my all time fav, iswhen they have the continental kits.....wow those were nice cars.

i loved taking it to teh gas staion when they would actually fill your car for you.
and tell them to fil it then run in side for a soda pop. or to the restroom LOL if you had a younger kid they were there for a while tryign to figure out where the gas tank was.
I actually had some of the older guys doing the same thing LOL

'57s are the same way. They would search and search for the filler neck until you showed them where it was.

A guy told me once he had a buddy who once owned a '57. This buddy swapped the filler neck from the driver side of the car to the pass side. Which would mean either this guy turned the gas tank 180 degrees or he used a piece of tubing or pipe to extend the filler neck so it still reached the gas tank.
