That's why I say I want a new walkaround lens. You want a lens that can do a bunch of different things in 1 package. The kit lens is decent, but I find myself wanting to swap out a bunch.

A 20-40 for your walk around? I'll have to look into it.
I've been thinking about this for my new walkaround: Amazon.com: Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD SP Aspherical (IF) Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras: Camera & Photo
Mitch, the nifty fifty is cheap. It's under $100 all day lol

Yep, I got it for a cheap $275 from my brother. Sigma lenses have a slight focusing issue, I'll post up a picture that I'm talking about when I get off of work later.
It's very soft in most of the picture

Like it was said before the body isn't that big of a deal... it can kind of make a different. I used to shoot with a Rebel XS when I was taking photography... base model camera I still got some amazing shots. I recently upgraded to a T3i, I love it and it takes good video.
Anyone running Cannon I suggest looking into getting Magic Latern it's free firmware for your camera and it adds a lot of features to your camera.

So going from 18 to 20 would be a downgrade regardless.

Here's another few for you.
80 Monte
414ci 13.5:1 SBC, TH400, 9" rear. It got put into the wall last year at a No ET at Milan if anyone was there/saw it
been 10.50 on a 150 shot (running out of octane and wouldnt pick up any ET with bigger jetting)
made 450 to the tire on mild timing (running out of octane still)
Another friends Belvedere.
1965, all origional except for getting repainted from the body molding down.
496" Mopar powered, 4-speed, Cal-tracs.
This was after it crushed the spring perches on the axle and lost a U-joint
Made 575 to the tire on a mild tune up. Getting a direct port setup soon.
