PA inspection sticker question
ok so i have a question, my imspection stickers was up in july due to a series of unfortune evens i couldnt get them at the time. so ive been trying to get it for a week now and everywhere i go they keep telling me that its not ready and i have to drive the car more. they asked did i clear any codes i said no( i lied) they asked did i disconnect the battery for anything and i said yes. i did my water pump last week and dis connected the battery doing so. so my question is this i have a code (p0440) that comes up once a day i cant find out what it is so i clear it. but when i clear it do i reset all the computers which makes the car not ready for inspection? ive been thinking about trying to find someone to delete the code because i cant afford to pay money to diagnose and fix the problem. the guy did me a favor and put 11/14 stickers on so i dont have long but that was my question.

It's not ready for testing either because I cleared the code. Which I did or I disconnected the battery which I did to change out water pump. But I drove around for 80 miles and it's still not ready so I'm wondering is it because I cleared the p0440 code which comes on like once a day

Even if codes are cleared there still stored and they can see when they were cleared etc. Even though your deleting the code so the lights not on they still know.

$125 and a drive to me, I can remove all of the CELs that you need removed
Everytime you clear the codes you destroy the ready state of every sensor. Have you talked to the shop about the code you are throwing? Maybe they can fix it for cheap. Sometimes it's just the vent line near the gas cap.

Lol I kno you would be the guy to go mike but the weird thing is that lately it hasn't been coming on but only thing I have changed is the evap purge solenoid. I was gonna do the vent valve near the gas line but the connection didn't fit
