Thats all I can come up with or the dealer really screwed himself and overpaid on trade in maybe?

Its crazy what they ask at times but if you trade it in youd be lucky to get 1000 for it

I was thinking the same thing but at times I'm sure you get that one stubborn customer who wants a certain amount for it or they wont buy that new car, and youd think if they were going to make a big enough profit theyd take a hit once in awhile on a trade in but I guess you never know, they wer going to give my uncle 500 dollars on his tahoe on a trad ein no rust perfect interior and exterior new tires but had 203k so I guess you never know

Yeah but if you know how a dealer really works they will make it seem like there giving you alot if you are the stuborn customer but in reality the car your buying they dont have much in it either

The Monte from what I can tell holds value pretty good, so does an Impala. We bought our '05 Impala for a STEEL in December of '10 with 150,000 on it. My jaw dropped when KBB said the lowest value on a 5 year old Impala with a 3400 and those miles was $3,000.

To know if that Monte is over priced, I'd crank it through KBB.com. BUT, just because it may KBB for that price, does not mean it's worth my money. I love the Montes, the 3800 has a GREAT reputation, but the closer you get to 200,000 miles, the harder it is to justify bigger $$$. That Monte is curving a FAR distance from Age/Mileage to what I'd be willing to pay. 200,000 miles is a hard thing to justify.

Take 100,000 miles off and sure that would be a more reasonable price lol

yeah ik mike theyre all underhanded, I guess to me it just seems ridiculous to think anyone would pay near tht for it, I guess that 2000 black SS with the RCR emblems and Intimidator logo was worth $4,200 with 162k after seeing this

I bought my 2001 SS for 3800 and that was after title transfer and tax and everything only had 122k on it
