When Maureen & I were together she got a stray from the animal shelter. This was the 1980s mind you and her youngest son was a HeMan fan. I mean he was very heavy in to HeMan. (that and G.I. Joe)

We first named the cat Battle Cat from HeMan. We noticed one day the cat didn't meow but more wow-ed. So we re-named the cat Wow.

The perched on your should comment reminds me, when I brought Chester and Cheyanne home Cheyanne would set on your shoulder like a parrot.

I was driving home one evening from work in 2004 and I saw these eyes staring at me from the shoulder of the road. I thought to myself someone as dumped off a cat they didn't want. When I got up to where I'd seen these eyes something darted out at my car. I swerved to miss it cause to me NOTHING deserves to die under a set of car wheels. (weel maybe a couple humans I can think of)

I turned around and went back cause I knew if I didn't do something someone would kill this animal and leave it on the road.

I got back to the spot, got out of my car, and yep it was a cat. Not really a cat but a kitten and gee, there was two of them. They weren't very old and they'd been around humans so I picked them up and got back in the car. The rest of the drive home was interesting cause they both wanted to drive. I knew they weren't old enough so I didn't let them.

Got home, rang the bell cause my arms were full. Debbie opens the door and goes "AH!"
I said "Don't get attached cause we aren't keeping them."

That as before she stepped on Chester's head one evening in the garage and broke his jaw. A $257 vet bill later we couldn't get rid of them.

How it happened was she was out in the garage with them. We kept them away from Celeste and Chevi cause we weren't sure if they had anything like worms and we knew they had fleas. Which I can do without.

But she said she looked to make sure neither Chester or Cheyanne were near, she stepped back and that's when Chester's head got in the way of her foot.

I was at work. I got a phone cal with a woman on the edge of hysteria. She thought she'd killed him. It had only been a while since we lost Shado and Debbie was still upset about that.

I called the vet from work who said, "Bring him right in."

When I called Debbie back, she thought it was the vet calling her. (funny now. but not back then)

But today they're both fine and spoiled rotten like the others. They will be 5 years old in august.

He's just as spoiled as the others are. Maybe more? (if that's possible?)

What a cute Calico! Happy birthday little girl! She has aged beautifully. My hubby's a fireman who can break through a wall with his bare hands, but he loves cats too.
