The Other Woman In My Life
aww happy birthday chelsea!!! she does look good for her age!! i love calicos. that was what i originally wanted when i was looking for a cat but i couldn't find any in the shelters.
i wasn't sure when exactly my cat was born, but when i got him they told me he was about 8 weeks old. so i counted back 8 weeks from the day i got him and decided to use that day as his "birthday". it turned out to be the same day as tony stewart's birthday. so it worked out pretty well. my cat's name originally was "smoke" - after tony and because he's grey - but i changed it after a couple of weeks to "bullitt" since he goes darting around the house like one. crazy little guy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!!! Looking good! She's a beautiful kitty.
I have two that will be 17 next month. One (Fuzz) is really showing his age and I'm afraid he may not see 18. His sis (Tinker) has slowed down but overall still doing pretty good. I've had them since they were about three weeks old. Some moron dumped them out on our gravel road in a cardboard box. Their brother had managed to get out. Hubby saw him crawling around and stopped and looked in the box. There were four all together. One died about a week later, and Milo (the escapee/help finder) was ran over in our driveway by a cousin when he was about 3.
A good friend of mine lost her 16-17 yr old cat Sunday. She has two big dogs that she brought in because it was raining real hard. She locked them in her washroom but one of the kids went back in and didn't get the door shut good. They were gone all day and when she got home, they had gotten out and killed her cat. I'd have killed two dogs.
Love 'em while you can. No matter how long you have with them, it's never enough. I hope I have a few more years with mine.

i opened this thread thinking id see like a picture of your girlfriend, or atleast your car. assuming that one is the first female is the other one. major let down. but thats old for a cat. wish her a happy brithday and may she grace you with her presence for years to come
that's so sad about your friend's cat
especially since the cat was already up there in age. even though my cat drives me crazy sometimes he's my little buddy and i can't imagine the day when he is gone.

(notice I'm looking over my shoulder as I write this)

I like the idea of the "Happy Birthmonth" since I'm not sure what day Chelsea was born on? I somehow think she'd start expecting a B-day present every single say of april if I did that?

My cat Smeekers got his name from scampering all over the place when he was a little guy. You never saw his face. All you got a glimpse of was his furry white rear scampering away. And he squeaked instead of meowed. Scampers & Squeakers became Smeekers.
Chelsea had a blood related sister someone dumped off here as well. I gave her (Sara) to an ex-girlfriend of mine Becky.
Why would you want to see a picture of a my girlfriend Debbie? Hahahahahaha

can't we tell people we are not sure exactly what day we were born on??i had been wondering where you got "smeekers" from (the name, not the cat). that's cute. i seriously love that name. my first cat from a couple years ago with my old roommate was called tweety, because she a.) always perched on my shoulder when she was a kitten and b.) sounded like a bird chirping when she meowed.
RJ, wish chelsea a happy b-day,
and remember: if you dont talk to your cat about catnip, who will?
