I wish the list of cars said done on them instead of project. Thanks. And by the way the reason for the divorce is because of the lady friend. OOPS.

My dad would be going ape crazy all over your Impala. He had a white one that was about the same year as yours when he was in high school. He loved that car. I believe he traded it for an El Camino. Everytime we see one like yours, he tells me about the headers and straight pipe he put on it and how loud it was. Nice ride!
Thanks man!! It's amazing when I take it to shows how many people remember having this car, or knew someone that had one when they were younger!! Interestingly enough, most times mine is the only example at a show!!

Now if I can just get this tranny thing figured out....

When I was young and believed that everything was either black or white (isn't it amazing how many shades of gray there are as we age?) I had this thing about cars. Basically if it wasn't a Mopar I had no use for it. I had the opportunity to buy a 65 Impala SS hardtop for 300.00 bucks with a blown up 327. I passed on it because it had a bowtie. In my defense though, I have had a few Chevy's before my Monte and every one of them has left me walking. I always blamed the car and not the lack of maintainence by the previous owner.
I also like the 69 Chevelle. Very nice.
Thanks very much!! Yeah, I used to be like that when I was younger about all the other car makes!! Now I like a lot of different vehicle makes, especially the '60's models!! I got the car for free just for helping yank the original motor out for the friend who owned it at the time!! It needed alot of work, I switched from auto to 4 speed, changed the interior, did all the body work and had it painted. Was on the road by 1991, this paint job is the 2nd one, and is by far the best. The drive train is all 1968 now 327 with a M20 Muncie, which I need to have someone experienced look everything over, since it isn't running the way I like it, something wrong, and also need different rear gears now. It will be sitting a long time now, till I scrape some money together...

Hey Mike; I've gotten so that I like almost everything that has either 2 doors or a tailgate (wagons are cool) built from 1955 to 1988 when the last Monte rolled down the assembly line. I like some of the trucks from the 40's and early 50's too. Before leaving Vermont and moving to Florida I had the opportunity to buy a 1950 GMC Canopy Delivery. I couldn't get the money together to put the deal together. I can't remember seeing a cooler truck just because it is different. I can't seem to find much love for the front wheel drivers or much of the new stuff.
Be patient with your 65. It will all fall into place. Thanks for sharing it. Brought back memories of days gone by. Gregg

Fortunately I have the land available to keep them and maybe a few more. I love my cars and I love the ladies almost as much. Problem is that when they say yes I have a hard time saying no. Oh well both the cars and the girls are fun most of the time. LOL.
