Look like it may have been painted b-4...The rubber guards for the hood are painted blue & should be black rubber ?
Space , the rubber bumpers under the hood get painted whatever color the car is.. Mine are painted black..

Good things come to those who wait

It's a great looking Monte but not for that price. Also, just keep in mind, tax, title and license fees need to be paid too

Also, I would assume an increase in insurance rate by stepping up to a newer Monte. All things to consider.

I would suggest holding off for now. My guess is that that dealer will probably have that Monte around for a little while at that price. There are better deals out there. I'd search for private parties selling and get your own carfax on the vehicle. You'll spend a little money on the reports, but the savings over paying a dealership could be much greater

For insurance purposes, he can claim the plymouth as his main car and the monte as a very temporary show car? Works well if you don't put MANY miles per year

Insurance i have thought over and planned that out. I do agree the price is a bit high and 5 owners seems a bit high, i think i'll stick to my original plan and get serious after the new year rolls in. I've been looking at dealers and private but nothing private has sparked my interest. That car has already come down in price(only a few hundred dollars) But i'll sit and wait for a while, thanks for the inputs guys

Hi `Keane, I think that you are wise to wait & keep doing your homework searching for the right Monte for you for a decent price...Good Luck in your search

=======================================
Thanks Mike & Jerry for sharing your knowledge on the painted rubber hood stopper's...My Bad (mistake)...I was always told to check for overspray on rubber parts on a vehicle that I was thinking about getting...I really didn't think that they were on a Monte when it was painted...I thought they were put on after See what happens when I `think (LOL)

I think Im late to the party and you may have already made up your mind but I'll throw my .02 in. I say stick to the plan. I bought my car almost 2 years ago with 86000 or so and it was only 8000. I would wait till a better one comes along.
