Somebody on these boards has done it (I think its was an 06-07) and I thought it looked great! But I have my reservations about how hard it would to keep it clean/ looking good...

If done right I think it'd look good. Some people think that flat black only looks good on older cars but here's a pic of a modern one done flat black. You be the judge

I'm kinda thinking older cars can get away with it. But to me, newer cars painted flat black kinda look like they were just stolen from a body shop, incomplete. I suppose it would depend on the make and model though.

Smaller cars, or cars that are popular with street racers, can get away with it easily. But larger cars like our 6th gen Montes may not be able to pull it off very well.

In the end, it's your car, and your taste. If you like the look of it, that's all that matters. Not everyone has to like the same things. Sometimes taking chances pays off!

Not a huge fan of the flat black look... I guess it has to fit the personality of the vehicle though.

Remember the Lumina coupe with the transverse V8? It kinda looked flat black.

Looks like satin black on the Lumina. Basically a semi-gloss

Saw the Lumina. WTF is the deal with the headlights and turn signals? I'm sorry but the headlight mod looks like crap. Put the stock headlight assemblies back in, a decent flame job, and it's a keeper.
