Hey gang,

I am about to open this 1979 tray of Topps Baseball.

Looking for and Ozzie, wish me luck.

Maybe you will have a few bucks worth. according to this site there are a few cards that year worth 4 or 5 bucks piece. 1979 Topps Baseball Cards Set checklist, prices, values & information

Dave since the title reads "Old Wax"

I thought it meant you were gonna spin up an old 78 rpm record...

I didnt expect basball cards...

hey, good luck, I really like opening old wax packs.......I might even have a 79 wizaid of oz card....

GPD, let us know how the bubble gum is. lol The gum always used to be brittle as glass. And just as sharp when it shattered apart in your mouth. Usually lost it's flavor pretty quick too. But the gum was just a bonus anyway.

Unfortunately, almost every card is available on ebay for $1+.

So 78's were wax instead of vinyl? I thought the cylinders were wax....

Did not get and Oz or even Hubie, but got a Thurman Munson final card.

They are, but most are off center with small corner creases. Looks like I won't get better than an 8 rating on most of them.
