first thing was that i saw was that kaiser convertable that reminded me of the '53 kaiser fraser my dad got when i was younger for $50. what an *** ugly car, lol, but neat at the same time.

then the henry J... reminded me of the guy in our car club who has a hollow on his property filled with probibly 40 of 'em, has at least 2 that are pristine originals, and wont sell any of them to "THOSE DAMNED HOT RODDERS!!!" he's probibly got the only non- tubbed henry J in existance, lol

wish i had more time to look over those links!

Default old cars

Great web sites "Space".....
I love the Old Classics where design and quality were first and car makers really cared about producing fine works of art and function. Those days are gone.
My absolute dream car would be a 1956 Belaire Convertible with the Continental Kit..Sea Foam Blue (?) and White.

People were hot rodding Henry J's even back when they came out. I have seen an original one... but like he says, quite rare.

`Richard, member's for your posts & contributions.
I'm with Ryan, I will continue to return to check `out
and learn more about the cars & trucks of the past.
I am constantly amazed by all the vehicles that have
been created for human beings
I am thankful for the WorldWideWeb & everything it

Of all the cars from the 50s, the 57 Buick Special is my Favorite.

Of the 60's, the 69 AMC S/C Rambler is what i want.

and the 70s, its the 70 AMC The Machine.

Haha, just a two year difference in the car from the 60's and 70's that you want?

If you want to more appropriately divide car eras, I'd say about 1910 or so (when Model T's were really going) until WWII, then the post war cars, 1945-6 to about 1965ish, when the pony car was introduced and the muscle cars really became popular, then 1965ish to 1972 , the muscle era(and this is a fairly firm date, the embargo and rising oil prices shut down it down right there), 1973-1990-ish, the small gas saver cars, then the rebirth of the muscle car around 1990-present day, and the new era includes the SUV's, minivans, etc.

Of course, none of these are hard dates, and a few cars from each category slip into all the others (for instance, there were a few "muscle cars" in the 70's and 80's, but they weren't the norm really, and there were some fuel savers in the 60's, but they weren't the norm).

Hi Mod R.J., I'm sure that many enjoyed your pictures story, but were just 2 excited to make a post to let you know...
I know I read many posts that I really liked, & didn't have the time to post my thoughts, or I got distracted with something else that was going on....It's not that I did not like what I seen or read, but I did not want to be more of a post ***** & I have to restrain myself LOL

I also multi task when I'm online, and take breaks to catch up on other activities on the web....Like, I'm way behind in my emails & PM's : (

Or maybe they were all clicked `out from viewing all the cars & truck links on this thread.....

I'm always happy even when just one member makes a comment on one of my posts or thread : )

Please don't give `up & check back later to see `if anyone comments : )
Peace/Happy `Out

p.s. See, I 4got to comment on `Duane's post & others ~> I'm sorry 4 I know not what I'm doing : )
