My first truck was a 1988 chevy cheyenne with the 5.0L V8 and auto. It was a piece when I got it and I re did the interior and under the hood completely and it looked good except for the outside. Didnt run good cause of a bad fuel pump but who cares. I sold it before I got my liscense. Lol. My second truck was a bad *** 1993 ford F150. I loved that truck. It had the 5.0L v8 in it and I built a custom exhaust for it that was awesome. It was really nice for its age and miles and never quit on me. And of course I have my current rideVVV.

And Taz that am Gt, I almost owned one of those instead of the Monte Carlo I own now.
Smart move not going with the am Gt. The thing cost me over $10k inmajor repairs in the 8 years I owned it.

RJ...I think your collection is the envy of a lot of Chevy lovers.

Thanks moderator Taz.

But that picture is only 4/6ths of my '57 Chevy collection. All run and are streetable except the 1st (my very FIRST car) and the last one. The last one would have been a running, driveable car if not for my recent trans problems.

Owning so many has never been something I set out to accomplish. It just sort of happened to me.

I do appreciate the compliment.

my dad had MANY cars back in his day... at 20 years old he had a body shop, so when something like a 66 Corvette, 70 GTO, or a nice 'Stang rolled in wrecked and took to a junkyar,d he would pull it out, fix it back up and drive it. His first car was a brand new 1968 Ford Mustang though. Although he'll tell you he had some flat out crap too.. He had a pick up truck that in his words "if you dropped your beer you could glance in the mirror and watch it bounce down the highway."

I think he stole that line from Jeff Foxworthy.

Haha that pretty funny, My mom's Geo Metro has been one outstanding car. I know it's not fast at all or something pretty to look at, but the car is one long lasting car and very good on gas. My dad owned one of the 1970s or 60s cadillac sedan deville something of that sort, he bought it brand new it looks super awesome, now it sits in the junk yard rusted.

1st Car was a New VW Bug that my brother totaled for me while I was doing a Tour in 'Nam.
2nd Car was a MGB Convertible. Love it. 225,000 Miles on 3 Engine rebuilds and 2 Cams.
Followed by:
Peugeot 505S (Bosch F/I and multiple Head Gaskets)
Nissan Maxima
76 Camaro LT
Buick LeSabre (My father-in-law's cast-off when he bought a new one)
And NOW ...

'04 Monte Carlo (A Love-Hate relationship) Love its ride. Hate the cramped-in, tough to work-on anything in the engine compartment and under-dash!
