OMG!!!.I was watching TV this afternoon. Got up to check on something. Came back and the TV screen was black. So I turn it off wait a few mins try to turn it back on. NOTHING!!! This happened a few yrs ago to us. We were watching a movie and we hear like someone broke a glass. Then the TV went dark. YUP! You guessed it the bulb broke. Damn it! The last one co$t me about $300.00 Now I've been looking for a replacement and their under $ 50.00. Now that makes me feel good. Not I'm watch the 32 inch instead of the 62. Bummer. But not for long. I'll have another one on friday. Bet on it Thats why you see me on here at this time of night and posting video's . Nothing else to do LOL

If you had an LED TV you wouldn't have this problem

Led = better for gaming. Led is the best for video games and sports. Plus most have a warantee. Ours broke after 1 year and they gave us a new one of same price so it was 5 inches bigger woot. I also have 2 32s for gaming and an old school 32 flat screen. The first gen flat screen that is standard def and a sqaure like old tvs thing weighs close to 300 lbs and I doubt will ever go out had it for 14 years or so it was first gen flat and cost me as much as my down payment on my car.

I have never heard of LED TV's having a 4 year life span like that.... Considering regular LCD TVs can last a LONG time (main point of fail is the back light), the LED is a vast improvement by removing the common fail item (the back light) and replacing it with LEDs.
Heck, I've heard of people swapping out failed back lights on LCD TVs with LEDs, thus converting a TV to LED (I don't know anyone who did it first hand, just heard about it).

Personally, I'm not a fan of DLP, I've heard of mirrors braking and obviously the bulbs dieing. More importantly, the pictures on them are close to an LCD or LED quality, but not as good.
