While I have had my fill of the snow... It is a GOOD thing for the farmers and lakes, and drought areas. Michigan was down until now... The Great Lakes have been 3-feet low, and I hear still can be, it depends on how all this snow melts. The slower the better for retaining the water, for a fast melt means floods and damage. So we did to be a little patient and let all this good snow to melt slow enough it is beneficial.

The snow drift was up to the door handles. I'm out there defenseless with no sno-blower after blowing the transmission and the repair guy accepting the 10-Horse Engine I had on it as payment for trying to fix it ...

All I want is for the nice warm breezes of Spring to melt the snow and leave me a dry driveway ... so I can begin doing some work bleeding brakes and painting calipers. I did the Fuel Filter in the street and nearly got frostbite that day.

I'll trade a good sunburn for a frostbite any day!

I am also sick of winter but it looks like the weather could finally turn for the better here real soon.

I love the winter. Just went Ice Fishing yesterday and had a great time. Got the Blazer stuck on a snowbank on Lake Winnebago for a bit but we dug it out fine.

Also changed tires on the Monte the otherday and I noticed something... Snowbanks. I never pay attention to them in the winter truck. Soon as I got in thelow riding MonteI couldn't see over them.

Can't wait for those to melt down a bit, get some rain to wash the salt off the roads, and the roads themselves to get repaired.

We'll be forgetting these frozen days of Winter and will be out there buffing-out a wax-job before too very long. But, when it keeps on snowing you lose track of what time of year it is and just have your notion of winter extended in your mind.

We are getting that thaw, too. And, I'll be enjoying every whiff of the Spring that will follow this little thaw as it blows by!

MAN!! what are all you throwing on your cars for those photos? See dusty i told you those damed northren folks were strange.

I do how ever feel your pain i used to drive up in that crap all year long and also acrossed the mountins in the winter training fools how to drive Big Truck. So i have had my fair share of sliding down hills and going over creaters in the streets.

JUST remeber to take the car threw a car wash at least once a week even if it is cold and raining out do not let the salt sit on it or you will not have a monte in a few years you will have plastic parts for a monte sitting on a nice set of monte carlo wheels. and a pile of rust where the metal parts used to be

Taz: I know i parked it here!!! I remeber taking a photo of it here RIGHT HERE!!!!
Mrs. Taz: um hey um hun...(pause for effect) ..... Do you think it might be that over there?
Taz: What the pile of red plastic parts on the monte wheels?
Mrs. Taz : Um YEAH! (#@%^#$^) Did you follow what Mickey told you?
Taz.: No! he dont know anything!
Taz: scrating his head.... (pausing for effect again) Now where could it have gone?
Mrs.Taz: brings out dust pan and a bucket. here you go sweep up the mess in the drive way or you will be sleeping out side to night.
Oh and here is your rear view mioor and the air freshner you put on it.
Mabye Mickey really did know what he was talking about!
Taz: NO WAY !! He is just a damed Mouse what coudl he know?
Mrs. Taz. well is his monte still in the drive way where he parke it?
Taz: I think so.
Mrs Taz: Case closed .

I think we have an ideal winter here in NC.. it's cold enough that you appreciate the warmer days (there are some 60 degree days, adn you appreicate them as a chance to wash your monte
I wish it would hit 60 here, I almost got up to 50 yesterday, today it's back down to 19 with snow and a good 30-40 mph winds. Someone asked me the other day why I have a car that doesn't look that practical in Wyoming, I said that bumps and whatnot suck, but I don't have to worry so much about being blown over from the wind. There was an advisory out yesterday for trucks on the interstate with gusts around 60mph, several ended up in the ditch.

Luckily we've only gotten about two inches since last night, and it's not supposed to snow again until Tuesday and Wednesday.

I don't have to deal with salt here in Wyoming, unless I go to South Dakota for a day, then I end up with a white car...

For some reason the campus thinks that spreading fine sand on everything every ten minutes is a good way to keep the roads safe, the only problem with that is now my floors look like a beach and my monte turns brown every other day.
