Blue Devil is baaaack. The 2009 ZR1 was removed from the sinkhole and started up this morning.

Tough car! That actually will buff right out! This is probably good PR for Chevy and the museum

From the Museum's Blog: "The Museum plans on displaying the cars as they are recovered, now through August 3. In addition, this Spring they plan to create a special display with information on the sinkhole incident, sinkholes and karst background details, videos, photos and more."

The red 1993 40th Anniversary is planned to be removed this afternoon and the black 1962 tomorrow.

Those are some cool looking photos and amazing the car is still pretty much fine. Can't wait to see what the rest look like.

I feel bad for that vette. It got pretty messed up. Are they going to restore them back to how they were?

Yes, from what I've read, the Museum plans on displaying all 8 cars "as-is", as they are recovered, now through August 3. After that, they are being sent to GM where GM and Chevrolet will both manage and oversee the restorations.

That thing held up pretty good too! That white one in there looks like it could be a mess. Did they really lift that '62 by the engine?
