Well my car is at the dealership for the gasket and tranny hiccup. i am nervous. told them to keep it inside it is supposed to storm here the next few days. i hope everything works out and they find the problem.

Sorry to hear you're having tranny problems with less than 39,000 miles on your car. Hopefully everything will be covered by your powertrain warranty.

Just out of curiosity, do you know if the tranny on your '07 SS is the same one that's in my '06 LT?

 

not sure. but i bet it is very similar.

 

The Monte is back in my garage. They replaced the oil pan gasket and filled it with Mobil 1

As for the tranny. they found no issues (not throwing any codes) with it so i am supposed to monitor it and if it gets any worse bring it in. I felt it do it once on the way home. They said to just drive it so i will. just glad to have it back home......and it didnt rain all day until i went to pick it up

 

I hope you get it all straightned out. When I bought mine they tried to sell me an extended warranty for 4 years. Powertrain. I agreed until I saw the price tag. $2890. salesman said hold on a minute after I refused and said they may have a coupon, Well he came back and said they would take a $1000 off. So I got it for $1890. Lesson-ask for a better deal. I am glad I bought it now. Thats really not much if something major happened to it. good Luck

 

i am thinking about getting an extended warranty. they quoted me 1800 for 4 year coverage. i have to think about it since i dont put that many miles on it.

to put in perspective of how much i drive. This was the first oil change i had done since i got it and it only had 1400 miles on it since november.
