Default No more snow!

I have had enough snow for the year!!! Please no more!! Which leads me to my rant...I am kind of bummed because back in June I bought a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country. I know what your thinking..."A minivan!!??".....I always said I hated minivans and would NEVER EVER buy one but.....I did. I picked it up for $900 and planned on using it for a beater/daily driver that I didn't have to worry about and most importantly in the snow. My work moved to a new building and the parking lot is awful...and I am going grey worrying about my Monte getting a ding or hit out there. Plus road salt is the devil and I hate driving my Monte in it. Anyway.....I was happy to have the van and we looked it over and everything checked out. Within day two of having it the tranny went into limp mode and would not shift past second gear. We checked everything we could think of and eventually came to the conclusion I needed a new tranny. So the van sat for months as I pondered what to do and tried to save money. We eventually heard about a family friend who could rebuild mine for $650 if there were no broken hard parts. So finally after months of waiting we have the tranny out of the van and ready to take to the guy. I am hoping to have a working van by new years....cross your fingers!!! I am hoping after this thing is running no more snow for my Monte.

Wow! We have lucked out right now. Only had one day of snow ranging from a dusting to about 2" it can snow over Christmas leave but other than that I would rather avoid it.

This weekend SUCKED!!! Shoveled the driveway twice and both times the snow was still coming down. Probably coulda shoveled a 3rd time (but didn't). I just hope it's like the past couple of years where we had one maybe two big snow falls and the rest of the winter was just cold.

Thankfully it's supposed to warm up here. Sunday will be almost 70!!! I want to wash my Monte but I think it's going to rain Sunday. She needs a good bath. She used to be black.....she is white now from all of the darn salt.
