X2, I really like Holdens. I think GM should have Chevy (no trucks), Caddilac, GMC (trucks), and Holden. That would be a nice spread of what I'd like.

PS: Oh and sorry for derailing the derailed topic again.

GM wont get rid of Buick. In china Buick is their bread and butter. I think they should limit production in the US tho. I like your idea about chevy being only cars and GMC being trucks/SUVs. GMCs have always looked better than their chevy counterparts anyway. What I do think GM needs to do its start development on small displacement V8s and get rid of the LSx engines. Dont get me wrong, I love LS engines, but they are a big part of GMs bad image of inefficiency and outdated technology. You can start the bashing now, but I dont care what anyone says, OHV engines ARE outdated, inefficient technology. I think they should use the Direct injection technology they are using on the 3.6 V6 and apply it to V8s and start making small displacement, DOHC, direct injection V8s. If you can get 300hp out of a 3.6 V6, whos to say you cant get 400+ hp out of say a 4.6L V8? Maybe to save money, they can keep the LS engines to use in their pickups so they have something with more torque, and eventual phase them out if they ever do start making the smaller diesel engines. BTW, what happened to the 4.5L diesel they were going to use in the 1500 silverados? I heard that was supposed to be a marvel of engineering and I think would really help GM get their foot into the door of clean diesel technology.

They put the small diesel on an "indefinite" hold so who knows. I would have liked to see it put into some cars.
