Default No More Compnine...

So, I finally got my VIN written down. All set to finally see how many twins I have out there. Type in the compnine site url, and what do I see?

Exact quote

"These types of announcements don't come easy, but effective immediately Comp Nine will be closing its doors permanently.
Thank you to everyone that helped keep the site going and for allowing Comp Nine to serve the community for so many years.

Please contact service@compnine.com if you have any immediate concerns."

Not cool. Thought I'd share.

Comp Nine was a great site. It really came in handy for people who wanted to know if the pace car or driver edition Monte someone just bought, was a real one or a clone. Also good for 4th gen Monte buyers too. With all the cloned 4th gen SS Monte's out there, Comp Nine really helped to find the real ones from the clones.

I have been trying to get on their site for about a month without any success. When I finally did get on and put my vin in it immediately said no record found too quick. I suspected something like this was going on because all the reviews I read on the site were wonderful. I am back to square one on trying to find out how my 81 Monte Carlo Turbo left the factory. I would really like to restore it back to stock but it is looking like I will never know what that was.
