The next Monte Carlo?
Craig, I was wondering if the crest would look alright on the hood. Thanks for the chop!
Another possibility is placing the crest in the center of the trunk lid. If you really want the crest on the car. Personally, I don't care one way or the other about the crest. I could take it or leave it.

I see your point Wayne, I owned a 5th and didn't really consider that.
But really, can we lay off "lumina" carlo stuff? seriously... it gets so old hearing that. As much as we would like to, we don't get to choose what GM names the cars. My 98 was NOT a lumina.
Wayne, my apologies for spouting this, you know I don't mean to be stand-offish but it wears on you, you know?

I know what you're saying Cully, but I really don't think Wayne meant it that way.
I think he was saying that the 5th gens are a Monte Carlo, but look more like a Lumina than they do the previous generations of Monte. It was in response that a new Monte should look like a Monte Carlo.
I believe his point was that any car named "Monte Carlo" is what a Monte Carlo looks like. It's not bound by previous generations.

I know what you mean Cully. I hear that crap all the time. It gets to the point that i sometimes i just want to stay quiet and not really participate here. I drive a 97 Monte Carlo. M-O-N-T-E C-A-R-L-O. Not L-U-M-I-N-A. I've said it before and i'll say it again. If it wasnt for us 5th Gen MONTE CARLO owners, there wouldnt be you 6th Gen owners. Think about it.
Now. Getting back to subject.
I have been looking at all the pics and thought this would make a nice version.

I even added a standing wing.

19's would be what would come on it, same as the Camaro. I like halo headlights, and that would be a cool feature to me.
And as far as the 5th gens, PLEASE don't think I'm bashing the 5th gens! My #1 Mont Carlo was a red '95 LS. GREAT car! BUT, it was derived from the Lumina platform, just as the 6th gen is derived from the Impala platform. Same cars. That's my only point. Along with the fact that the 5th gens have the same lines as the Lumina. Would I have bought a Lumina? NOT A CHANCE!!!!
My whole point of this thread that I started here was the fact that WE here as a Monte Carlo Family, along with ALL the Monte Carlo fans around the country. We WANT another Monte Carlo! And this platform, even tho it's still a concept, has ALL the potential of being the NEXT Monte Carlo! Made in the States? Probably not. Neither was the GTO or the G8, but they sold and sre selling, right? Pontiac is gone. Chevy is still around.
Bring it Holden!

I really learned in life & with automobiles that you can
make some of the people happy some of the time, but not
all the people happy all of the time.
I'm just thankful that we still have many choices to choose from.
I also like all generations of the Monte Carlo, but
I like some gen's more then others.

Each Gen has their own special look/options & we each
have the oppurtunity to made each one our own.
