I agree, the new Focus is a nice car. I specially like the cockpit lay out.

 

Better doesn't always mean faster. This Focus wouldn't stand a chance vs. the turbo Cobalt SS. I mean look at the things 'ring lap times. Now if the US get's the Euro-spec Focus RS, then we have a real performance match-up on our hands.

The car itself, quality, tech, feel, and things like that all appear to be way better than the Cobalt, and I'd put my money on it being better than the Cruze too. Remember this same car, minus different aesthetics has won a ton of awards over seas.

I will say this about this focus, its an improvement.
The current focus is ugly, this one looks like its going back to the ford focus from years back, where they had the hatchback/sedans with the round rear end.

 

Not gonna lie, Id take this over any aveo, focus, cobalt, cruze.... list goes on haha.

 

& me id take this over all lol

idk if anyone wrote this yet but ford and mazda are the same company i belive lincoln is owned by ford too. a friend a work was telling me that alot of cars are the exact same besides interior styling and heads/tails.

 

Yeah, Mazda is Ford, so is Lincoln, Mercury (Mercury especially about being rebadged Ford's), Volvo cars (they're about to sell them). Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin were all once owned by the Ford Motor Company. However, Ford sold there controlling share of Mazda last year... some think after it being a 40 year deal and being very beneficial to both companies, that it may have been a desperate measure by Ford.... hmmm

 

I love what Ford has been doing. My mom has a 2006 Mustang GT and it is the best Mustang ford has built. It was the first mustang I have driven that was as fast and comfortable to drive as my 95 lt1 firebirds were. I still prefer chevy, but respect what they have done and the new focus looks great in my opinion.

It's keeping them alive :P
The Mustangs now do look awesome, it screams "come on lets race!"

 

I think the American car makers are in a bit of a squeeze to bring "stylish" gas savers to the market. Its too sad but the economy is in a **** too.
