wow nice ride. good deal on the engine too, glad you went with a ford, not chevy.
I love the hot rods.
My brother just picked up a 31 ford coupe, barn find with the original paint/engine, still runs too.
He also has a 32 roadster (brookfield body) with a flathead.

Nice project. Kudos for putting a Ford motor in a Ford. I've only had one 289. It was in my 68 Torino GT ragtop. I wish I still had that car. I had an opportunity to work on a stock Model A about seven years ago. It was a hoot. I think it bit me because I've wanted one since.

Well the process has statrted and the old engine came out like a breeze. All the wires you see and evrything will no longer be there. I am also relocating the baterey and the gas tank as well to make more room to work on the tranny (which i dont have yet) The old motor is a Pinto 4Banger. These engines are nice if you through a turbo on them which was not what i was going for. I wanted pure muscle. Now starts the fun part. Hoping the motor mounts and everything fit perfectly so i do not have to tear apart and start reweilding things. Fingers are crossed.

Just a update on the build. So far has been not as fun lol. had to make custome motor mounts for the car along with the brackets to hold them. Welding in new cross members and relocated the gas tank and the batt. I have also just started to take apart the motor to repaint it and put some new chrome parts on it like pully system and fan and other fun things. The car is moving along just at a slower pace since the mounting brackets set me back a few weeks trying different ones till i had a sorta match to work off of. Might of found my new tranny for $1000 rebuilt too. All in all i am thinking end of Feb begining of March i should hopefully be done with everything. i am also sad to say that my chrome headers are a no go because i would have to rework the whole fron end frame for it so thats a no.
