Default New Daily - Another Monte

I have been loosely searching for a new daily and this thing popped up on Craigslist, talked him down to where I wanted to be and brought it home... Should do the job for the 140 mile commute daily.

The exterior needs a little bit of help, but some minor rust repair and cleaning is in the plans to happen here in the next couple of weeks and a full detail is happening this evening.

I did get started cleaning the engine bay, along with doing a little bit of swapping parts from the old Monte to the new one - auto-dimming mirror and some LED's.

I bought the car mainly to be a daily, but I have a hard time driving something that looks like everyone else's... so I plan to do the following really basic things and just drive it:

1.) Repair minor rust spots
2.) HID's, Switchback turn signals, LED tail light bulbs in stock housings, LED license plate light
3.) Pace car spoiler
4.) Actual wheels instead of hubcaps
5.) MAYBE intake/exhaust/tune to liven it up a tad.

Hi `Mitch, I took a small break (Nap) and check back in to see your new Ride. Looks great and low miles. I like it 4-Sure for a daily or full time drive. The 3.5L has proven to be a great engine + it has low miles (now) Mod Michaels went way over 200K with only a few problems. WoW, 140 miles a day ? She must be a great lady to travel that far each day

Wish you safe & happy miles. Look 4ward to your updates.

You sure have a stable of rides to maintain 4-Real... That's a full time job without pay, but it has it's perks (LOL)
GOOD LUCK

Haha thanks for the compliments! I have 148k on my other Monte, but that's up for sale right now, I'll have to post it here.

That photo with all the taillights and reverse lights lit, are those with the LED bulbs? I like it! Are they plug & play?

Thanks! They are just standard 194 bulbs from ebay. They're just direct replacements

I did get some garage time in last night.. wanted to debadge, fully detail and pull the cam out of the rambler, but I got stuck doing a friend's exhaust on his Tundra instead. I did get a little done, but I have more to finish for tonight:

It's clean now, could use a good buffing..
