Oooo yea here in Oregon to get the orange plate with custom lettering was $163 today just to order it and then a $85 renewal fee (I don't have to pay the 85$ until April so that helped a little bit )It would had been cheaper if I did go with the standard plate (pine tree) but I did not like it or any of the other ones they just don't go with my car . The orange on was the way to go . Orange black and white the 3 colors of my car .

Will your plate have the CU on the left side also? Because that would give you a second message on your plate, for free. CU, as in "see you" (see you later).

Congrats on getting one of your top choices. With the amount of personal plates out there now, it's getting harder and harder to get your first choice. My first choice wasn't available either. But luckily, like you, my second choice was available.

We used to be limited to 6 characters here in Ontario until a few years ago. They recently allowed 7. And I'm not 100% sure at the moment, but I think they allow 8, but they'd look kinda squished together.

I am surprised that Oregon uses yellow for the handicap plates. Most other handicap plates I've seen use blue. Goes with the blue parking spaces at the malls.
