When was the first Monte Carlo used in NASCAR? I figured someone on here would know.

probably the year they came out, 1970. i know i read one time the Chevelle with the 454 would have been used in NASCAR but NASCAR went over to the longer hooded Monte Carlo for that year.

 

My answer was going to be: 1924.

I don't think that's quite right though? Not many Monte Carlos made in 1924 is the reason.

It could be they hand bult a special one but then you have to remember, no Nascar in 1924. So that won't work?

Maybe the answer is really 1954?
