With all the debate on `Danica, I thought it would be interesting to see what our Member's thought ? ?
+ it's adds some activity to our forum

Okay, the poll is there now. I think Danica belongs in Nascar. Just not in the Sprint cup series, YET. I think she needs to spend some time in the Nationwide series for a bit. I think she's being thrown into the Sprint cup series too soon. Most likely just for ratings.

 

Bringing your personal feelings into your report is very unprofessional. Yes, he should have been suspended for his comment. And yes, I think Patrick should be in NASCAR. Some of the 'good ole boys' don't think she should be there, but I equate their menality right along side that of some drivers when Shirley (Cha-Cha) Muldowney broke into drag racing. I think some are afraid of the possibility of being defeated by a woman. :p On a side note, Shirley disliked the term 'Cha-Cha' being used to describe her just as Danica dislikes the term 'Sexy' to describe her.

I honestly think Danica doesnt belong in Nascar Cup Series, she needs to run truck & Nationwide first & idk about everyone else but i qiut watching speedweeks cuz i was tired of hearing about her, i predict she will wreck one car every weekend she runs a cup race

 

Either your comment is dripping with tongue in cheek sarcasm or you missed my point. A reporter isn't paid to express their own opinion, they are paid to report the facts in regards to the topic. They should keep their personal feelings and opinions out of the equation. The exception would be a talk show, but the hosts flip flop with their opinions so often it will make you seasick. I think they just want to be included in whatever the majority is in favor of at that particular moment so they remain popular...and of course what the sponsors have scripted (told them) for them to say...

She's not ready to drive in the Sprint cup yet - stock cars are a whole different animal than open wheel. She needs to learn how to drive them first.
