Don't take it too personal. My wife actually drove one, and I'm in love with her. But definitely in spite of the Fuego, not because of it. The stupid part of the story is that her European immigrant father bought her the car brand new for about $13,000. In '85, he could have bought a great new car for that money that everyone would have recognized and still been worth the same money today. Like a Z28 or a Fiero - lots of cars mentioned in this thread would have cost less than that. The Fuego's only redeeming quality, to some, was that it's European. And to a Hungarian like her father, anything European is better. That doesn't exactly make him a winner.

Anyways, anyone know what year and model this is?

1985 I lusted for this car - mostly because of the instrument-panel-by-Atari and it was 'Murican.

Interior shots only, tell me the name and subset.

The cassette deck! Wow :p

What an awesome thing to quote! You brought this one back to the Monte Carlo! How many members could look at that picture and say "Look! I remember one of those being chased in 'Sudden Impact'". Probably only one. That side loading cassette deck is neat too. I don't remember any cars loading the tape like that, tho I've had my share of cassette decks over the years.

Okay, you redeemed yourself Barovelli. Obviously u know the car. But we'll leave it for another member to guess.

We should have left the movie title off to see if anyone could guess it. I couldn't have. But that is a Firenza. My wife suggest Firenza, to which I replied an "Oldsmobile Cavalier"? She didn't realize they were the same. But truth is, the Firenza existed before they made Cavaliers.
