How are they about putting out a completed / tested product at launch? Trying to see if I should jump on it when it comes out or give it a few months.
Ive just had my absolute fill lately of games releasing that arent actually done - the game physically functions but crashes / full of bugs / cant get past cetain levels etc. Really sours my desire to ever go back to it again. Even the new MS Flight sim (via game pass) - the sandbox stuff worked OK, but career was a buggy mess, so I dropped it after just a couple weeks.

Kunos is already saying it will not be the full game at release, weve had minimal progress updates, very little news, and its supposed to release on the 16th. I usually get into the early access/beta testing for all the new sims and subsequently purchase it before its released. Not this one, im definitely gonna wait and see how it goes. I could be very wrong, their 'silence' could indicate that they have something really good in store. There has been talk about the Devs working with the modders I previously mentioned from AC. If that is true, I have much more confidence
Just a long way of saying Im going to wait and see.
Its the norm these days for publishers/developers to release unfinished games. Seems everything is released in beta and we usually have to wait years for a finished product, if its ever finished. Kunos is no different. AC and ACC were pretty much unplayable for the first year.
I guess I'm just too old school, but that stuff drives me nuts. I thought the whole update thing sounded wonderful when it first came out - minor issues could be patched post release to fix unexpected bugs. But you're right - these days its almost like they just push beta versions out the door at this point to get revenue (at full cost of course) and decide if/when they even want to fix things.
I was hoping the craziness with Cyberpunk a few years back (being temporarily de-listed from new online sales) would've pushed the manufacturers to put a bit more effort in up front.
