Default My Trip to Mexico

I was down in Mexico on a twelve day business trip and just got back home this past Friday night. We were in Hermosillo, Sonora for business. Hermosillo is about four and a half hours south of Tucson, Arizona and has a population of just over 700,000. The daytime high temp was between 100-110 degrees most of the trip and walking out the door to 80 degrees at 7am wasn't unusual. The temp would hold above 100 degrees well after dark. This was my first time to Mexico and overall I had a pretty good time but am glad to be back home. Here's some pics, thanks for looking!

At Detroit Metro waiting to board the plane to Phoenix, our plane on the left.

Boarding our AeroMexico flight at Phoenix Sky Harbor Int'l Airport to Hermosillo.

We went to the convenience store down the road to get beer. After it's paid for at the check-out counter, it goes to a guy over by an ice chest in the middle of the store. He puts the six pack in a bag and takes off the plastic tie, fills the bag with ice, and puts that bag in another one which he ties up. You get the beer like this to go.

Fire ants.

I never knew a three liter of pop existed until now.

A guy and his son washing cars one morning.

Sitting outside at a bar watching the crazy traffic. We watched multiple cars almost get smoked pulling out of this side street here.

Playing some pool at the same bar.

We went down to the beach in San Carlos on the Sunday of the full weekend we were there. This was during the drive down. Was about an hour and twenty minute drive south to San Carlos, on the Gulf of California.

At the beach in San Carlos.

Policia Federal.

Driving through Hermosillo one night, came across the first Seat I've ever seen in person. I knew of Seat because of Project Gotham Racing 2 on XBox.

Stopping to get tamales one morning.

Quite the supply of hot peppers.

Tape two cans to the box and you have a 14 pack.

Seat dealership!

A Seat Leon Super Copa inside their dealership.

On the way home, boarding the plane in Hermosillo to Phoenix.

Aeropuerto de Hermosillo.

At Phoenix Sky Harbor Int’l Airport during layover for our flight back to Detroit.

Wow some nice beaches there...I have only been to Ensenada back in 2001. It was a stop on a cruise when I lived in Ca.

Looks like you got to have a little fun on your work trip. Those pool tables are Valley tables that were at one time manufactured right here in my hometown of Bay City Mi. They sold out to Brunswick years ago.
