As a guy who's restored cars, I can tell you that now is really the time to restore a car if there are remanufactured parts on the market. About the time they really quit running (to be frank, normal wear and tear means a car's pretty well had it in 20 years), go ahead and restore taht thing. Once it sits in that field and gets rained on, snowed on, sun baked into the dash with no cleaning or protection.... it does the number. Thats why restorations are a pain in the @$$. You can really do what you want with a 4th generation Monte without nearly as many problems if you catch them and restore them now. From the pics, it looks like this guy knew what he was doing and did a good job.
