I've had a similar accident happen to one of my previous cars. That sucks Jerry. Some people, I tell ya.

Not sure what it's like there. But here most insurance companies will only pay to have the car returned to the factory look. Any graphics or customizations are your problem. But if you argue with them, sometimes it works out. I had a friend argue that it's their responsibility to return the car to the way it looked before the accident. Which included the striping and such.

Dang Jerry, that picture almost made me cry! A van backed into my Monte last year - the driver admitted she didn't see me cuz she was sitting up so high in her fancy van, and her insurance company paid for all the repairs. It still made me pretty upset to see the damage to my newly-bought white Monte.....and doing without the car while it was at the body shop was was the longest three days I've ever endured. Hope your mom's car turns out okay - glad she's all right. She wasn't in the car when it got hit, was she?

I had an accident once too in a truck that had dealer installed stripes and 90s graphics on the side and they didn't want to pay to have them custom made and re-installed. It was a lot bigger deal to do back then compared to now. Luckily my body man was a close family friend so he just dealt with it all. Good luck getting it fixed for her Jerry also I would make sure all the window tracks and everything else in the door isnt bent or broken.

That does suck, but at least it is isolated to the door - no structural damage...

It was such a beautiful Monte! Hopefully the repair goes well. I hate people who don't know how to drive. Now, I must admit, I backed into a half ton pickup with an Olds 88 and so they had extremely minimal damage, all that happened the truck if anything was a crooked bumper, I destroyed the trunk lid though lol. But that's not because I can't drive, instead it was because I was mad at my brother and decided to back up without looking.

Jerry it really bites that your moms car got hit. It looks like a really nice Monte. I've never seen those quarter window louvers. They look good. I hope the repair goes well and I'm glad your mom wasn't injured.
