Default My Jonny is not well.

Last night my son was complaining about burning in his throat and chest, so we decided to take him to the Dr today. They are leaning towards acid reflux. This is not something we wanted to hear because of his family history. His real father died of colon cancer, his aunt has a hiatal hernia and thyroid cancer. Other members of that family have cancer on the father's side. On Lisa's side, she has I.B.S. and her bother ( Jonny's uncle ) has Crone's disease.

So now my boy is on Prilosec twice a day. I know he isnt my biological son, but it hurts knowing that something could be wrong with him and what could be in store for him down the line.

I just wanted to let you everyone know what was going on in case you all notice that i am a bit withdrawn.

JJ, a PM with more detail is on it's way to ya.

You're a great guy, and love your family very much. It's natural for people to have those thoughts running through your mind in times like these.

I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers, and hope for the best. That sucks when a child is sick.

Please keep us updated on Jonny's progress.

JJ, I'm so sorry to hear about your son. But it's good that you are getting it checked out now. I have been living with Acid Reflux and Crohn's Disease for about 10 years now and I'm doing good. Don't get discouraged, I know it's hard with all the tests that might have to be done, but you will be relieved to get to the bottom of the problem so your son gets the right treatment.

Hi J.J.,
Sorry to read your post about `Jonny
It always hurts when someone you love & care about is hurting or
threatened by any illness. I pray your doctor's will be able
to treat his medical problems.
Parents must stay strong and positive. Love is great medicine
and it's ok to overdose on it.
I wish Jonny Good Health, and I wish you & Lisa the
strength to cope with the many problems that life
presents.
"We can only do, what we can only `do", I know you
will do your best, and that is all that one can ask.
Jonny is fortunate to have a loving father like you.
Prayers for `all, Always
Peace/Health/Happiness
`Amen
