You had the lq1 3.4 dohc am I correct? Thats different than the 3100 beacuse its an ohv configuration. Im pretty sure the 3100 3400 and 3800 all cam in OHV configuration and thats what his 3100 is in. He would have to swap the whole block so at that point might as well go L67. Still the LQ1 only had minor advantages over the l36.

3.4 top swap won't do me any good I ported the 3.1 top out past the 3.4 specs. So virtually it has a 3.4 top. They're generally the same just the 3.4 is ported out bigger than the 3.1 and some stock are pre polished from the factory. Also the capping the PVC does sound interesting I'll look more into it. 3.1 are pretty much the same except the DOHC model. 3.4 has slightly bigger ports and the block has a slightly bigger bore and the crank is as well, think the performance difference with the crank and bore is only about 5hp and 5t. Each car the 3.1 was put in had slight variations in then where they made some parts give better performance and others less the balance out the stats with the Transmission they had to use. I took the best parts from all those engines and put them in 1. Now I've got a fast car that has so much torque when you take off the Sun Roof cover flys backs. That with 30-40mpg you just can't get much better.

I mean not to sound rude, but the 3800 series 2's are making 200hp and 240 ft/lb. I dont think the 3100 or 3400 could take it on without some serious mods. Not to diss on your sweet build man, id love to go up against a build like that.

From racing people with different cars they've all told me I have to be pushing towards 250-300lb ft and hp to be keeping up with them or beating them. I just don't fully know, but everyone freaks out about my car lol.

If your running 12 second 0-60's your not putting down near that. Like I said, I run 7.5 on a good day and id estimate mine at 250 crank hp MAX.

Considerably my whole engine and transmission is a serious mod Stock headers to ported and polished Roller Heads and Cam on record from GM was 15-30hp and torque without port and polish. So just that puts me at or over 200. The Throttle body has a 1inch port and polished. And the intake ported out over a 3.4 and polished and I'm taking in over 100% more air. Transmission is running an extra 50-100psi. Plus my 10 series racing exhaust has my back pressure almost non exsistant. We've estimated between an added 50-100 hp and torque increase with all the parts.

Im just saying you should be running alot faster than a 12 0-60 if thats the case.... do you have 0-100 pulls?

Well the 12 was before the throttle body and the exhaust and the air filter and plug wires. I'll check it later today when I get on the highway. The big thing I'm working on the the RAM Air Intake and spark plugs in designing. I have never got it tuned or dyno'd haven't had the money. I'll post more about the real stats and not estimates once I can get that done. When I have it tuned and dyno'd I'm gonna get it set to a 24:1 air to fuel ratio(the spark plugs I'm putting in it require that)
