Default My '57 Chevy Wagon

Two of my friends were talking and realized that one had snapped a photo of my '57 Wagon in 1970. He send me a copy.

The extra cool part is the Sohio station across the street. Is where my very first car came from july, 1972.

Neat picture! My husband took a cross-country trip with his parents and three brothers in a '57 just like that - in 1957, when the car was new and everybody drove station wagons.

That's a cool pic! I love silly stuff like that. Digital cameras REALLY help keep pics moving (or in this case, a good scanner).

Thanks for sharing your pic. It brings back memories from my youth. I remember saving the S&H green stamps and also remember the Grants department stores. I was ten years old in 1972 and my dad took me with him new car shopping. He was trading our 1966 Pontiac Catalina wagon. He looked at the 72 Plymouth Fury III but after looking at it he decided it looked too much like the 1965 Plymouth Fury III he totaled in 1970. He ended up trading the Pontiac for a new 1972 Ford LTD brougham 4 door H.T.. It was blue with a blue vinyl top and blue vinyl interior. It was pretty sitting in the showroom and dad made the salesman take it out of the showroom so we could bring it home to show mom. I had forgotten about that til I saw your pic.
The 57 Chevy is sweet. Bet you wish you still had it.
