So here's how my weekend started. Got ready to go to a local car show and to take my wife on her maiden voyage. Started car and let warm up , dies after about a minute knowing it's ignition. Nothing exciting just another bad new part , the points eliminator kit .Here's the big problem I don't have clearance under the wipers to remove the distributor without pulling the engine. I will end up fixing it in the car but still a adventure. Build a RWD it'll be fun.

So did you show her some of the Richard Rawlings Donuts that you can do now?
Why can't they just make things right the first time. I wonder if you go into the parts store and hand them a contract that they need to sign that if there stuff won't work the first time they are also liable for the labor cost involved. Everyone changes me extra for the mistakes?

Good morning guys.

Was up North at the lake for 3 days, great weather with almost no clouds in the sky the entire time!

Another clear day today, going up into the low 90s.

One of the old historic 'Bob-Lo' Boats (S.S. Ste. Claire) caught fire Friday morning - caused by welding (renovations were underway) - the owner says they still want to rebuild it. Boblo Island (Bois Blanc Island) is an island at the mouth of the Detroit River on the Canadian side of the border. It used to have an amusement park that operated from 1898 to 1993. Ask anyone old enough in this area and they know it very well. The S.S. Ste. Claire is one of two 2,500 passenger steamers. The S.S. Ste Claire was built in 1910 and served as the Detroit ferry (Detroit to Bois Blanc Island) for 85+ years and is currently docked at Riverside Marina in Detroit. The sister boat, the S.S. Columbia, was built in 1902 and served as the Amherstburg ferry and is currently docked in New York.

After the fire...

What the S.S. Ste Claire looked like in operation in (I would guess) the 70s...

And in 2015...

More recent before the fire (renovations were underway)...

Afternoon guys.

We've had 0.00 rain in July so far, extremely dry. Having a hard time keeping the lawn green enough even running the sprinklers twice a day. Made it up to 89 degrees yesterday even with a cold front that moved through. Dropped into the 50s last night, up to 83 today and then back into the 50s tonight - lot more comfortable than it's been lately. Opened the windows last night for the first time in a while.

The owner said they want to rebuild it. If that's the case, that's going to be a lot of work.

Wow, looks pretty nice for the price. How hard is it to take your own pictures? And how is that an accurate representation of the actual car being sold?

That really stinks about the boat on fire. I would hate to be the guy welding or the job forman.

Things are still ticking along for me, nothing exciting going on. I sometimes wish for some excitement, but my luck it would be bad excitement.
