Hey Mel, first off, your son is in my prayers and thoughts, hope all goes well for him!

Also, you're getting touchup paint done, what happened near the battery? Prior to my ownership, it appears that battery acid leaked and it's not the most clean part of the car under the battery, I wouldn't mind getting that area fixed up.

Do you have Costco near you? If so, they are running a special now for $70.00 off a set of 4 Michelin Tires. They run this promo at Costco about every other month.

Good Morning All!
Thoughts and prayers are with ya Mel.

I have been away a few days, is everybody doing well? I have been busy with work and junk, nothing out of the ordinary.

I am getting pumped about the Super Bowl. Me and the wife been working on the game day menu. Gonna have some sausage dip,(teriaki, garlic, and buffalo wings), cold beer in the fridge and a warm fire in the wood stove. Yall come on by!

Despite paying a tic over $700.00 for my new Michelin Advantage tires...
I couldn't be happier.. Especially since there 90,000 mile tires!
It sure is nice it comes with a 3 yr free replacement guarantee should I have a problem with them.

And...
They wil more than likely be the last pair of tires I will ever have to buy for the Monte!

I did want another pair of Goodyear RSA's.. But they don't make them any more..
They only make the 40,000 mile RSA P's (Police)
I certainly didn't want those..
But much Thanks to Matt (06mistreSS) I decided on these Michelins!
Thanks Matt!

I am love Michelin tires, they are my go to brand anymore. They definitely cost a a bit more up front, but they are worth every penny.

My Malibu came with RSA's from the factory. From what I've read, the RSA's suck and will be gone by 30K. Did you have a different experience with the RSA?

Mike:
Actually with my factory stock Good Year RSA Eagles.
I got great mileage out of them. I ... had ... 89,000 miles on them before the mrs drove over a broken truck spring on the freeway..
My personal goal for them was 100k..
I do have a bad habit of rotating/balancing them every 3000 miles.
Maybe... That's why I was getting such god mileage out of them?

So,
That's why I was wanting another set of them...
But I'm definitely satisfied with my new Michelins..
My "new" tire brand of choice.

They cost me right around or a little over $700.00..
Plus lifetime rotate and balance along with road hazard after Michelins warranty runs out at Belle Tire.
