Good Morning EV1!

 

I here ya Barbara. My wife used to love to drive my truck. Not sure why she ignores it now. It only has 367,000 miles, a rust hole you could throw a football through, the A/C kinda works, blower diverter is stuck in the no-where position, scratches on the hood where the horses have bitten it, steering is loose & pulls to one side, has a leaking head gasket, and the interior smells like our Labrador on a hot day. Other than that it's a pretty nice truck. It's just getting broken in!

Here is my take on that: LOL
a rust hole you could throw a football through (The superbowl IS coming up)
the A/C kinda works (A/C?...ummm it's winter..LOL)
blower diverter is stuck in the no-where position (ah...roll down the windows if you need air moving..hehe..that is what they call the 255 air flow package..2 windows and 55MPH!!!)
scratches on the hood where the horses have bitten it (Gives it character..bet no one else has one just like it!!!)
steering is loose & pulls to one side (I think that is the theft deterent device they put on them...if they steal it and can't drive it...they WILL NOT go far with it..haha)
has a leaking head gasket (A little bit of red RTV and you will be good to go!! A few more miles anyway!)
and the interior smells like our Labrador on a hot day. (Dollar Store-Little pine tree fresheners- Black ice) Then it would be a good smelling labrador on a hot day!!)
Other than that it's a pretty nice truck. It's just getting broken in! (Sounds to me it is just hitting its prime!!!)

 

That's right, its in it's prime! This 1/2 ton 4x4 GMC has towed and hauled well over its share over the years. I have had it bottomed out with many mounded over loads of green white oak. I have towed over 12,000 lbs of fertilizer with it. I had bulletproof tranny put it to withstand my abuse. I can't see buying a new one. It has been on numerous VA mountain hunting trips, and a lot of miles on the sands of the NC outer banks fishing. Describing it makes it sound like a John Wayne story!

Good morning MCF!! Up early this morning getting ready to go to the junk yard to look for stuff for my cars. Pretty cold this morning but feeling the cold will go away when I start finding stuff I can use...lol They also have a newer area now so I am hoping to find some headlights and taillights for the 02.
