I love it! 7 cops to tell an employee she has to take American currency.

You should be wearing that seatbelt anyway.

I laughed my @$$ off when I watched this. While the chick behind the partition may not have towed his car and that the guy should have rolled the pennies, she was in the wrong for refusing to accept the money as is. Do you think I can do that working at the Fred Meyer gas station? No. I have to take the bag of change and count it, whether I've got a station full of customers or not. It is legal tender... period. Granted it is 99% likely that this guy parked where he shouldn't have been parked and he was being an unreasonable jerk, but they are still required to accept all 8800 pennies as payment because it is legal tender.

Its just like that guy a couple years ago that paid the IRS what he owed in taxes all in pennies. The manager of that branch said that next time he will be required to pay either with a check, money order or dollar bills... Sorry, but pennies are legal tender and they are REQUIRED to take it.

All in all I enjoyed it, especially when the cops were like "She has to take it" lol
Not so.

A story that made the news a couple years ago. A guy went in to pay a fine at the court house. He too had all pennies. They refused them. Said something about it put too much a strain on the workers to have to count them all.

(BIG freakin deal in my book)

LMAO! If I was paying my ticket in person, this would be tempting...LOL. I wish my insurance would pay the guy I hit for his "injury" in all pennies...LOL! or better yet throw the pennies at him one by one....LOL :P

If all these places (including government offices) aren't going to accept pennies, then quit making them.

If you're not going to take them, don't give them to me. Plain and simple!
